Meet the team!

Founders

Namaste. I'm Surabhi Kaipy, a class 11 student with a passion for life sciences and Indian culture.
Growing up in a typical South Indian household, I was exposed to classical music and dance at a very young age - which soon became the best parts of me.
Indian arts have uplifted, healed and empowered me, and I believe that they can leave the same impact on innumerable lives.
Co-founding Nrityamrutha gave me the opportunity to bring together a cohort of individuals with a vision to make these artforms known and accessible to all; a small step towards making the world a better place, through art.
It has been an incredibly enriching experience so far and I cannot wait for what's to come next.

Namaste! I'm Akshaya Ridhi, a class 11 student who has a tremendous sense of pride in Indian customs and traditions. The language, the arts, the fashion, the scriptures, the ceremonies, the customs, the ethics, the behaviour, and the values all reflect it.

I believe artists are those who bring dynamism to an otherwise static world, they give art an encompassing definition.

Co-founding Nrityamrutha has given me the opportunity to assemble a group of people who are dedicated to advancing knowledge of the myriad of Indian art forms, influencing culture, and fostering artistic connections. Pursuing the Nrityamrutha project has provided me the wonderful opportunity to convey my opinions and perspectives about our culture. It has inspired me to embark on a significant journey of enlightenment, imagination, and curiosity.

Hey! I am Dheeraj Kashyap. I grew up in a typical Kannadiga joint family in Bengaluru. Since a young age, I've constantly had shifting interests. When my parents enrolled me into a drawing class, they would find me peering into the dance class next door. When they enrolled me into a dance class, they found me just standing in front of the mirror trying different expressions. When they enrolled me into an acting workshop I found myself equally interested in cinematography and video editing. I'm someone who like dipping their feet into different fields.

I am extremely glad to be a part of The Nrityamrutha Project and am really thankful for being given this opportunity :D

Namaste!

From a very young age, I, Harshita Nagesh, was fascinated by the history, traditions, and culture of my motherland, India. I would often look up videos of performers and try to innocently imitate their ways. For hours I would paint pictures of palaces and huts, warriors and kings, dancers and performers, fascinated by the impact colors created.

Nrityamrutha has enabled me to follow my interests and learn about different cultures whilst following my passion for painting.

It has indeed created a meaningful journey of discovery, understanding, and creativity for me.

Nrityamrutha is like the night sky where you discover a new star (new traditions and cultures) every evening, forming a magnificent constellation and discovering yet again a deep understanding of its roots.

I'm a 16 year old patriot. My name is Chinmayi Shastry, I did my schooling in Carmel and am currently studying in 11th grade. I have been a part of Scouts and Guides for 6 years now, have secured Rajyapuraksar which genuinely inspired me to value my country's traditions. I began learning Sanskrit in 8th grade, took part in competitive exams and realised that it is something I really love. Most Indian scriptures are written in Sanskrit, which naturally inspires me to know more about it. My yoga gurus have played a very important role in making me aware about the subtlety behind our rituals and traditions. I joined the Nrityamrutha team because I connected to the idea and the thought process behind the initiative. I strongly feel that it is our duty, as the youth of the nation, to work towards propagating our forgotten culture. We must be proud and aware of our ancient traditions.

Hi! I'm Arya Shedbal. I am from Bangalore and I have Kannada, Telugu and Marathi ancestry. I am a science student with a passion for art, especially literature and music. I have great interest in the Sanskrit Language because it is key for studying ancient Indian culture. I strongly believe that Indian culture in its purest form is most progressive and inclusive. Nrityamrutha was the brainchild of my friend and it is very gratifying and enlightening to be a part of it.

Hiii everyone!
My name is Priya Prasad! I’m currently in the 11th grade and I am a proud Cottonian. I have always had a keen interest in fine arts be it dance, painting or literature.
I’m a big fan of Sudha Murthy and adore her works.

I have always had a strong passion for Indian culture, arts and it’s traditional values. Due to which I have been doing professional Bharatanatyam since the second grade. This is why I gravitated towards Nrithyamrutha. It has given me a great opportunity to learn more about my culture and spread valuable knowledge, while being able to express my opinions and views.
